TECHNICAL
We ask all participants of this workshop to bring their own laptop and have already installed Mathematica 10 or 11. Once installed, we also ask to download and install the latest version of the ADM package that is freely available under the following link:
http://rochesterscientific.com/ADM/#installation
Instructions to install ADM are available on its website. In case of problems, please contact Dr. Simon Rochester at simon@rochesterscientific.com directly.
WiFi will be available at the workshop’s room under eduroam network.
ONE-ON-ONE
The one-on-one slots are particularly important for participants to interact with Dr. Rochester and with each other. We recommend coming with a concise research problem to be discussed with Dr. Rochester during the one-on-one block. If possible, please communicate your particular research problem in advance to Felipe Pedreros (pedreros@uni-mainz.de), so similar topics can be better organized for this session.
Dr. Rochester will be available on request during Thursday 16th and Friday 17th to discuss further research work.
SPINACH TUTORIAL
Additionally, on Thursday 16th from 10:00 to 12:00, Dr. Ilya Kuprov will give a tutorial on Spinach, the open-source spin dynamics simulation library for Matlab (http://spindynamics.org/Spinach.php).
This tutorial is of particular interest for the participant of the ADM workshop and we invite you to attend as well.
EATING
Coffee breaks are provided by the workshop.
The main university’s cafeteria (Mensaria) is located just next to the HIM building. Payment with cash is accepted.
We will have a workshop’s dinner on Tuesday evening. It will be at Baron restaurant, located inside the University campus, and on a pay on your own basis.
LODGING
We suggest the following places to stay in Mainz that are all close to the University campus. Lodging is not provided by the workshop.
